In 2013 Spain introduced a new law to attract property investors from outside the European Union by offering Residence permits in return for an investment of €500,000 or more in Spanish real estate. This is popularly known as the ‘Golden Visa’.

With so many of our clients looking to take advantage of the ‘Golden Visa’ programme, we decided to take it upon ourselves to create a service dedicated to facilitating Spanish residency so that our investors can easily obtain all of the necessary information on how it works. In addition we offer the service of managing the whole process from start to finish.

Benefits of the Golden Visa

  • With the visa and residency permit, you are able to live and work anywhere in Spain. This applies to your relatives as long as they meet the expected age labour regulations.
  • There is no minimum physical stay requirement on Spanish territory, separating the ‘Golden Visa’ from similar programs.
  • An investor’s spouse, parents and children under 18 years old (or still financially dependent) can be included in a single application. 
  • After being visa holder for 10 years you can apply for Spanish citizenship. Once obtained, you can sell your investment at any time and this will not affect your residency.
  • Holders of the temporary resident permit through the ’Golden Visa’ Program will be granted access throughout Europe’s Schengen zone without any visa requirements. Moreover, they can stay within the Schengen region for a duration of 90 days within every six-month period.

Requirements for Golden Visa

  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • You must have no criminal record in Spain or in the countries where they have resided for the past five years.
  • You must have sufficient financial resources for themselves and for the members of their families during their residence in Spain.
  • You must have funds of 500.000€.
